Here is the only form you need to become a member, attend the mass meeting on March 17, 2016, become a delegate to the district convention and become a delegate to the state convention.


OFFICIAL CALL
Mass Meeting of the Falls Church City Republican Committee,
a unit of the Republican Party of Virginia

As Chairman of the Falls Church City Republican Committee, a unit of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and, as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Ken Feltman, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at American Legion Post 130, 400 N. Oak Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046, starting at 7:30 PM local time on Thursday, March 17, 2016, for the following purposes:

1. To elect a Unit Chairman and members of the Falls Church City Republican Committee.
2. To elect up to 35 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia 8th Congressional District Convention, to be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Kenmore Middle School, 200 S. Carlin Springs Road, Arlington, Virginia 22204, or its alternate site, beginning at 10:00 AM local time, for the purposes of:
  a) electing an 8th Congressional District Chairman of the Republican Party;
  b) electing three (3) member of the State Central Committee;
  c) electing three (3) delegates and three (3) alternate delegates to the Republican National Convention to be held at         Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio, beginning on July 18, 2016;
  d) nominating one (1) elector to be voted for the presidential election on November 8, 2016;
  e) nominating the Republican candidate for the office of U.S. House of Representatives for the 8th Congressional District; and
  f) for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention.

Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 500 Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Falls Church City is entitled to 7 Delegate Votes and 35 maximum delegates;

3. To elect up to 65 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia’s State Convention to be held on April 29-30, 2016, at the James Madison University Convention Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia, or its alternate site, beginning at 10:00 AM for the purpose of nominating a Republican candidate for the United States Senate.

Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per (250) Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Falls Church City is entitled to 13 Delegate Votes and 65 maximum delegates; and for

4. The transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.

Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified voters under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, and who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party, and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing, as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions, or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Filing Requirements

Candidates for election for Unit Chairman at said mass meeting shall file a written statement in person or by mail to:

which must be received at Post Office Box 275 by 6:00 PM, local time, Thursday, March 17, 2016, or brought to the Mass Meeting (American Legion Post 130, 400 N. Oak Street, Falls Church, Virginia) by 7:00 PM, accompanied by the fee noted below.

Postmarks shall not govern.

If only one candidate properly files, then said candidate shall be declared the chairman.

Registration will begin at 7:00 PM the night of the Mass Meeting.

Filing for delegates and unit membership

By mail: Filing will be accepted by mail if received with the fee or fees listed below at Falls Church City Republican Committee, Box 275, Falls Church, Virginia 22040, by 6:00 PM, local time, on March, 17, 2016.

Postmarks shall not govern.

In person: Filing will be accepted in person at the Mass Meeting at American Legion Post 130, 400 N. Oak Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046, from 7:00 PM until 7:30 PM, local time, on Thursday, March 17, 2016, immediately preceding the Mass Meeting which begins at 7:30 PM, local time.
 
Registration Fees

Mass Meeting: There will be a voluntary registration fee of $10 to participate in the Mass Meeting; However, you will not be able to vote unless you are a Committee Member.

Falls Church City Republican Committee Membership: $35.00 annual dues per person or $50.00 per family (at the same address).

Delegate to the 8th Congressional District convention: $20.00 (which will be transferred to the 8th District Committee to defray convention costs); the fee is voluntary for those wishing to vote only for the U.S. House of Representatives nominee.

Delegate to the Republican Party of Virginia State Convention: $35.00 voluntary registration fee.

Candidates for State Convention Delegate are requested to pay a voluntary filing fee of $35 (which will be transferred to the Republican Party of Virginia to defray convention costs).

Candidates for all positions are also requested to submit a voluntary processing fee of $30 (which is paid to FCCRC to defray the costs of reviewing filing forms and conducting a canvass).

All checks should be made payable to FCCRC.
